My g/f and I are looking to go on a cruise this summer

how many cruises have you been on? I have heard exactly the opposite from everyone I have talked to.......

no offense, but i cannot base any decisions i make on one person's opinion. That or one instance of a particular event....

Contiki tour would be great but i think it'd be better if i had more time to do it...week or better for sure; i only have a short week that'd I would be able to take off work currently

Passport? In 2002, we didn't need a passport for a Caribbean cruise (stopping in Grand Cayman & Cozumel.) Has that changed?

I agree w ed21x, went on one and that was it. I love traveling especially internationally but didn't like the cruise. Everything seemed like it was organized to get more money out of you. Standard dinner time was worse than being at home, having to get dressed up for formal dinner was annoying...who wants to wear a tie on vacation? Fly to Cancun or Jamaica or something and stay in an all inclusive.
