Get this girl to admit it as well, talk to your teacher (again) and then the lead prof of the dept, then the dean, then etc..... Keep raising hell till someone listens to you. Tell them you are trying to get into Johns Hopkins (grandfather taught there).... Dont give up!!

thats sh!tty dude. you can talk to teh prof again then keep talking to people. everyone you can and such. im guessing that because you got into JH for medicial school you are smart and most likely have a great academic record. so WHY woudl you need to cheat. bring that up and also find teh girl and make her confess and if she doesent. kill her
 
yup. your best bet is to make the girl talk to the prof or the dean and tell them that you did not have anything to do with it.
If she doesnt do that then you will be screwed.
If she does, and the prof says no, then go the dept chair, if not then the dean, if not then the chancelor of the univ, if not then the ombudsman, if not then sue them.

its not the end of the world. just make sure when you approach this to be calm and mature. dont go in freaking out or whining about it. if it doesnt go your way, move up the chain until it does, or you reach the end.

just remember all the prof. saw was the girl copying your answers, so she is doing the right thing since she has no way of knowing the girl cheating wasnt intenional on your part.

and yeah, this chick needs to own up and make it right. even then she still owes you some "compensation"😛

I don't see what the problem is. Have your lawyer give them a call and the problem will be solved in no time. There is absolutely no evidence to suggest that you were cheating. What they did is grounds for a very serious lawsuit. I think that when they hear from your lawyer, they'll be HAPPY to let you re-take the test just to put this to rest.
 
so, the girl said you were helping her? If you are innocent, do everything you can and talk to everything you can to get it fixed. I really can't believe that John Hopkins will revoke your admission

To prove you were not cheating, go into the prof's office and volunteer to take an oral examination over any protion of the material she desires on the spot. This will prove that you do know the information and have no reason to cheat.

Do this ASAP, as it would not have given you time to go study more to do well.

If you are denied the opportunity, this will also look good in your favor in the eyes of the ombudsman, as you tried to prove your innocence and were not treated fairly.
 
My question to Aimster is why he is giving up if he truly did not cheat? Dude, if you did not, then you would be seriously pissed. That's good, shows you care. Now don't give up and talk to the professor NOW. And if she won't listen, do as others have said, and talk to the dean or chair. Be completely open and honest of the events that took place, what you saw and were doing. Do not mention what the teacher might have saw or whatever, hear it from them directly. Fight this to the tooth and nail.

If you seriously did not cheat, we support you.

Usually if you get caught for cheating, it will show on your record, sometimes you might get kicked out of the university.

You know, that's too bad. You should know better than to ever show your test. I know that at my uni, for a 120 student test, we'd have a seat between us, the 8 TAs walking the rows, bigs zipped, no calculators, eyes on the ceiling, on your paper, or closed. If you lift your paper up, enough that she can see, you're asking for it.

What you did was equivalent to involuntary manslaughter 🙂

Your first mistake was probably sitting next to a friend.

Hell, I remember one time I went to my bag to get an eraser, and to make sure, I asked the TA if I could do so.
 
Oh yea, if you got into JH already, then try to just pass the class. They'll, at worse, make you take it again and that would be a good thing in college. You'll know the stuff already and that would increase the chances of you getting an A in the class and boosting your college GPA!

 
You study with her and then say you care less about her and then were clueless she was copying?

All I have to say is if you contest this thing, get a better story.

I used to study with a lot of chicks and would mess around with some of them....that's normal....however I would never let them copy and would actually try to come in late mainly for that reason so I could sit in the back away from everyone else. One freaking idiot actually got up 15 mins after I got there to sit next to me....the teacher told him to go back to his original seat.

I'd work something out of her regardless if you are interested, she owes you big time for that mess up.
