in all honesty I'm having a hard time believing that there was nothing the girl did to warrent the way she was treated, but lets assume she is completely innocent. She has a right and a duty to call child support services, the cops or whoever she feels like.

yea, she is currently not doing anything about it, and it looks like its going to stay that way.
Yea, because a parent REALLY wants to risk child services getting involved in a serious matter like this, especially when the father also supposedly has a drug problem.
If she was thrown out, there's a higher probability she'd go to the police or some form of authority more quickly. Most 16 year olds can care for themselves for at least a few days, which gives the parents time to decide whether or not they want to put her in a home, rehab, or whatever without her being around. It also lessens the likelihood that the authorities will be involved because she has food, clothing, and shelter.
Normal parents do not joke about not caring whether their kid lives or dies, and certainly don't take off unexpectedly leaving a child to care for themselves when they're unprepared.
And having a party is a REAL smart idea in this situation. :roll:
I wouldn't be suprised if the parents pressed charges against their own kid or locked her up in this situation, given their previous actions.

I say ****** the parents over in every way possible. Get herself emancipated since obviously they can't provide a home for her...

So she comes from a home where both parents have drug/alcohol problems, her mom committed suicide, and she not only has drug problems but is dealing at 16.
This girl is truly in way over her head. Call CPS, get her out of that situation. Maybe they'll be able to get her into a foster family, detox and counseling. Staying where she is, family or no, is just going to make things get worse.

i dont understand exactly how her dad *left* her.. is she keeping the house or what? where did they (her dad, brother, stepmom) go? do they own another home or something or are they staying in a hotel or what?
either way, if she doesnt get off drugs and get her life together shes never gonna get anywhere...
she needs to straighten her life out and find some people that care about her enough for her to hate them now... if it were my friend i would let her stay with me but the second she touched a drug or did anything wrong shed be back out on her own again.. maybe her grandparents can do the same? she needs some tough-lovin though... maybe she should go to a church and speak to a pastor or something.. they will do whats best for her, whether that means finding somebody in the church that is willing to take her in and help her straighten her life out or go with her to the cops or whatever...
nobodys gonna be able to help her if she's not willing to take the first step and commit herself to straightening her life out...

She refuses to call the cops because she's a dealer, her dad's a druggie, and there's probably sh!t all over the house.
