How does youtube make any money on those videos? How is there profit to share? I don't see any ads on the page?

Its $200,000 Canadian, thats why....or about $20 US dollars.

I wouldn't get too cocky, 1 USD = .92 CAD right now...

That's what we want you to think when in reality we go by the maple syrup rate.

It could be possible. That PlentyOfFish guy makes millions per year and runs his whole site off a handful of servers. A buddy of mine brings in over $1000/mo on a Hannah Montana fan site (really just an adsense parking page) that he put together in about 15 minutes.

Back in the 90's he bought a farm out in Lucan, Ontario. He does things on his land like stupid vehicle stunts and then he puts them on youtube. Look up Davidsfarm channel on youtube.

he managed to make the front page of our paper on Thursday and again Friday.

He got inspected by a Bylaw Officer and police and now he is in trouble for giving out the Bylaw Officer's work email addy.

"He's drawing millions of viewers to his online videos and, through a profit-sharing agreement with YouTube, could soon be making $200,000 a year."

Time to start making dumb videos, eh? 😉

It's been working for SyFy (SciFi) channel for years now, hasn't it?? 😉

I read an article about this the other day. YouTube was changing the way they pay the top viewed videos now and people stand to earn quite a bit of money if they have a popular video.

You got that backwards. 1 USD = 1.0883 CAD, 1 CAD = .9189 USD

He also does quite a few informative vids as well, like tips on buying a used car and how an auto tranny works. Seems like a fun guy, It would be fun having him as a neighbor!.

yes, he was a lot of fun.

I moved away back in 2000.

You should have been there when he transplanted a Mopar Turbo II drivetrain into his K-car station wagon. LOL. 175 HP in a K-car wagon. So hilarious and fast.

If his farm is not zoned commercial and he is not licensed, not paying taxes he should be in jail for tax evasion.

Must be one seriously happening dude. Imagine, just tripping and making videos, putting them on YouTube and the money just rolls right in. Fantastic!

Can't be as dumb as you think. I haven't seen them, but it's hard to argue with success.
