My friend is having problems with BF2 and Vista

My friend gets this error when he wants to play "punkbuster error message

restriction: inadequate o/s privlages
"

He said that he's the only user on his computer. Is this a known problem with BF2 and Vista? Thanks.

I think you need to play as an admin? At least according to the "restriction: inadequate O/S privlages" error message I think. Perhaps, punkbuster needs to be installed and you can only do that on an ADMIN account.

I believe they mean:
Right click the app, properties, compatibility tab, "run as admin". You'll get a uac prompt at launch.

Thanks, it works now. He needed to set it to Admin in properties like you said.
