Heres a SS of Speedfan running:

As you can see, that's HOT. It's not an error either, because he told me that's what his temps are before I had him download speedfan. He's running an athlon 1.2ghz and I'm pretty sure it's his heatsink (don't know what it is). Any HSF recommendations for him? Only problem is he lives in Sweden, so it has to be an international company.

Also, here's a picture of the inside of his computer. He says that the fan is spinning, even though it doesn't look it in the picture.

That looks like a thermal take orb cooler. Those things look good but don't cool well at all. I'd recomend an AX-7 or an sk-7. Or if he wants real quiet, get a zalman 6000. Almost anything would be better than that orb.

Hehe he said that last xmas he burned 128mb RAM cause it was running at 100C. Since then he's been running the comp with the case off.

Also, remember he lives in Sweden, and I dunno if they sell thermalrights there. And honestly I don't think he cares about the uber low temperatures the SLK-800 gives since hes been running that hot for so long (he told me ~10 months). All I'm asking for is a simple, reasonably priced HSF unit that isn't rocket science to install (he'll probably be installing it while he's drunk ;)

its a TT orb alrite. u can see the little T's on teh fan sticker. anything in the Thermalright slk line will cool it. maybe he should switch to the stock cooler for now if he has one

Orb = bad. Also, if he has a CPU shim, he should get rid of it after he has his new heatsink. And (duh) he IS using thermal compound between the CPU and the heatsink, correct?

I honestly have no idea. He's not one of those computer-literate people. Honestly, since he's been using it this way for 10 months I don't even know if he'll take my advice. Give him some reasons to do so (other than the well-known fact that it may fry your chip).

He'd be fine going to the store and buying pretty much any stock AMD CPU cooler over that orb.
