How did my friend get a 1-800 number? It costs a lot of $$$ to get a 1800 number and he got one but won't tell me how.

And he doesn't have the $$$ to afford it.. I know he doesn't.. Is there some free way to get a 1800 number forwarded to a cell account?

Both AT&T and Sprint gave me free 1-800 numbers with a long distance plan.

MCI gave me a 800 number as well with my long distance plan. I forget the per minute charge, but it's not cheap.

An old teacher of mine owned an Alarm business and they kept changing his area code. He said getting an 800 number was cheaper than having to reprint business cards, advertisements and stuff...

I have some two-bit long distance company and they let me get a 1-800 number for no charge and I pay 7.9 cents/minute with no minimum and no monthly charge.

I think that's pretty cheap.
