Next time you're in the shower, tilt your head to the side and let warm water (as warm or hot as you can stand it) get into your ear. Do this for a minute or two. Warm/hot water does in fact melt the ear wax somewhat. Now use q-tips after your shower. You should be able to remove some wax in its semi-liquid state.
If not consult a doctor or go to a voodoo doctor.
I tried turning the shower to real hot water, then sucking that up with the bulb thingie, then squirting that in my ear. Couldn't seem to get any results with that, although I only did it a few times as I felt like I myself was going to melt in the hot-ass water.

Went to the doc, they got 90% of the wax out, the problem is that the last 10% is right on the ear drum, so I need to sleep with eardrops in my ears for a week, and then if they haven't cleared out, go back to the doc, and it should come right out. A week of half-deafness is gonna blow, though.

Did you try pinching your nose shut with your fingers, close your mouth and BLOW hard. The air will try to come out your ears, and should dislodge whatever is in there.
I think you can make it more clear you're joking....right??? this is not only stupid but dangerous!
I don't think it's dangerous. I do the same thing just out of habbit whenever I listen to headphones.Originally posted by: incallisto

How is it dangerous to decompress? Diving instructors teach this same technique. Please explain how it is dangerous? Because every diver I know uses this technique.
