About 6 months ago I was drunk after a bar and jumped from a high area and landed on my foot wrong. The next day I could not walk on it. Went to the doc, he said it looks ok, a bit inflammed, nothing broken from the Xray but my foot is bad. I can walk just fine, sometimes I feel a pinch. I can't run anymore. In the morning when I get up, I have to be carefuly because it just feels week and I can make a popping noise when I lay day... what would you guys suggest I do? I want to start running again and play basketball 🙁 Should I go to a foot specialist?

Look at the bright side, at least part of you is no longer a virgin. 😀 Seriously, you have soft tissue damage that won't show on an x-ray. You need to wrap or wear an ankle brace. Go see a podiatrist and don't run or play basketball til you get the ok. Soft tissue damage can take months to get better.

Yeah go see a specialist. Im a fellow basketball junkie myself and have had some serious foot, ankle, etc mishaps. Luckily all of mine have healed on their own. Some took a few months. Yes I should of took my own advice and went to a specialist. After 6 months though its time to face the music and see what's wrong.

Go see the doctor (podiatrist ideally). If they don't see any bony issues, ask for a prescription for physical therapy, which will help with any soft tissue injuries.

I'll check out a doc in the area.

Today I attempted to run and I was able to, but I had to land on my foot softly. I will see how it goes. It felt good.
