Well, in my (admittedly limited) experience, the best way to go is to make sure she knows you have an interest in her. How you go about this is your problem.

And do not push for anything until the term is up. If all you get is a phone number (make sure it does not begin with 1-800, 1-888, or 1-900! 😛) that is a good sign. Even if your school has no prohibition against TA/student relationships, she might. And probably does.

But that is all I will give you. Hell, it is more than I was ever given. 🙂

Good luck, and bring a fire extinguisher. 😛

And to think, that pun probably wasn't intentional. As in any YAGT, I say, "Go for it, just ask her out." You'll regret it more if you don't ask, than you would regret if she said no.
