My first Warcraft 3 map...test it please :) (not simple deathmatch, has scripted events)...final version

I finished the level, got the ents of fangorn at the end, big tree's with 25000 hit points - cool.

ok now the file up there is version 4...version 2 was too hard i think, and version 3 was too easy...should be perfectly balanced now i think

oops...there was a bug in version 4 the last wave of enemies don't come, so it may appear easier. it's fixed now

i justed played it again, version 4, and i was just going to post that the game was easier. i lost one archer that time though that didnt happen last time. I give the new level a go in a while..

Not bad for a first effort though..

I liked to create deathmatch maps for Starcraft way back when, i'll have to look into how good the editor is.

worldcraft was very good for war2 so it should be the same if not better for war3...

I got to the end, and the Ents came and that was it. I set them up, and nothing else came, which was unfortunate because the ents had like 1000-1100 damage, and I wanted to check that out

EDIT: Oh ya, and really cool. It surely blows some of the normal WC3 level out of the water, by far. I liked the custom units as well, but as stated, if you put archers on the cliffs, they can just mow down the enemies before they get to the frontline. Hope you can make some more custom scenarios. If so, can't wait

Hmmm, maybe I made it too easy!! I thought i had it setup so if you died at the first wave of chaos uruk hai and chaos headhunters, that the ents would come clean up the rest.
Maybe the archers need to be weaker...man, so much tweaking to do! I think I will revise it once more then try and think of a new map


EDIT: OK...I think I know the problem. Archer are just too cheap! they only take up 1 food, and the Elite archers only take up 2 food. Now they take up 2 and 3 respectively...this should be a lot more balanced.

I played version 4. I lost at 29:28, i checked out my replay and realized where i went wrong.....

I lost Aragorn and Gimli at the second to last wave, that wave also broke my ground forces and wandered up on the cliffs and killed my archers (didnt use enough of those either) and it was all over from there.

btw, great map. Makes me want to finish reading LOTR, i'm only about 40 pages pastthat battle in the series.

At first I was thinking "This is wayyyyyyyy too easy" because my archers were slaughtering everything. But then it got much harder, and I thought I would die. I was really worried, but then the ents came and I rejoiced. It was very fun.
