The only dancing I've done involved the girl rubbing her ass against my crotch and me just swaying it side to side with the music. I didn't know what I was doing either, but it sure was fun to do drunk

Drink more also and that should 'loosen' you up but don't let it IMPAIR your judgement!!!

For sure. Drinking a bit totally makes things easier for me to pick up. Don't drink to the point where you're incoherent - just to the point where you have self confidence to brush it off if things don't go well.

Many a time I've tried to dance with a girl and failed, but that's ok. Some have unrealistic expectations, and you know what? You don't need that.

But I'll tell you, once I manage to connect with a girl, and spend some time with her, I have never been rejected for a phone number. never. So give it a shot.

You did great man, congrats! 🙂

They key to dancing is that you need to train yourself to not care what other people think of you. You can do some seriously weird stuff on a dance floor, and as long as people can sense the confidence in you they'll love it. I was at a club a few months ago for a bday party and one guy started doing a poor Napolean Dynamite dancing on the stage - it was a big hit because everyone could tell that he was confident and fun. Clubs generally attract the most dense people of society - it's not hard to impress them.

I agree u did good. If you are really into dancing, you know its not all about the drinks, girls, anything. its like some trance you get into. hehe. when u somewhat get to that point u dont need any drinks.

heh the OP makes me laugh ...

Tell me about it.

laughs out loud and points gun to head 🙁

you just seem to be WWAAYY over analyzing this and WWAAYY insecure. the only way to get over that is to just keep on going to those types of environments, pending you actually enjoyed yourself.

also it sounds like you are in highschool, not college 😛

but i understand, cause like you said, its your first time going to a party like that. it can be overwhelming at first, atleast a huge club can be. but the party you went to is my favorite kind of party to go to.

and yes, grinding with the girls at a club type party is okay to do, but then again, girls also like it (probably like it more) when you can dance without your p3nis on their ass and just shaking it back and forth.

grinding gets old VERY very quickly

what kind of clubs, ya'll talkin about? im guessing ones that play hiphop/top 40's? how do you dance at a club that plays trance/house?

My suggestion...go to a bar next time. Clubs are for douchebags in shiny shirts.

It was more like a party since it was hosted by a sorority and not a very common occurance.

how much did they cost? was a rebate and/or pricematching involved?

overall though, sounds like you had a good time. when drinking is involved, no one cares what everyone else looks like.

oh yeah, before you call those girls...:camera:s?

pics will be available, but unsure of eta. Price is mentioned on flyer at link.

Practice dancing in CS:S. If you can bring those exact moves to the club next time, you'll be much better off.

that's hilarious because on this one server I play on all the time we actually had a dance contest, I won.

i don't enjoy clubs that much, maybe if i was single i'd be singing a different tune.

if you're a noob, just drink your troubles away. also go with a group of friends, asian undergrad ... hit up Exit.

i love that "18 to grind 21 to unwind"

Don't worry about anything. Just have a few drinks and have fun. Just make sure your arms are wailing everywhere and on beat. I'm sure most girls wont mind that you dont dance well just as long as they see your having fun, your showing them a good time, and your actually out there dancing rather than standing around like most guys do. But if your still worried about looking a little off on the dance floor....think ahead of time and go to crowded events or clubs where you dont have to move much at all.

You were suppose to just stand there thrusting your pelvis and let the girls grind themselves on you. Anything more and you'll look like those idiots on elimiDATE.

I love dancing. If you do it, and do it right - chicks absolutely dig it.
If you can't feel the rhythm and move like a block of wood - stick back to your beer and tv screen.
