Im kinda in the same boat, my a7n8x died on me and its out of warranty, so im looking around for used nforce2 or via kt600 moboards to tide me over for a few months till i can really upgrade..maybe in Q1 2007...
Waiting just a month or 2 wont be worth it coz core2 will still be really out of budget coz its new in the subcontinent, only thing is AM2 might become a better ie cheaper buy.
