My first questionable experience with Newegg

I'm a big Newegg fan; have bought tons of computer parts, my digi camera, and my photo printer, etc., through them. I like to talk them up to people (especially those considering going to Best Buy for computer parts :p ) because the service has always been excellent.

So back in June we ordered some Arctic Silver and a thermal compound remover/cleaning kit from Newegg. It looks like the package was given a tracking number but never left the Newegg facility.

In the office we didn't notice for a while because we thought one of us had received it. I looked for the Arctic Silver one morning and realized...well it never came.

I call Newegg to resolve the problem and they say they'll ship our original order out with a care package (couple t-shirts or whatever). Today I get the tracking number for the care package but not our original order. Had to call back just to find out they'd never resent our original order. :confused:

I still :heart: Newegg but now I look silly for talking them up so much in the office. Anyone else have a questionable experience with them before?

This seems to be the growing trend with Newegg. I used to have great service with them, once they even next dayed an item for free becuase they sent it a day late with a care package. Now they are like every other co. and make excuses for why they mess up.
