Ok, I've done some research and Ill be buying my parts this weekend. I want to change some things. I was just wondering if anything else needs to change. GTX 770, Corsair Obsidian 650 d, Cooler Master 212 plus, I7 2600k. What Ram and Motherboard should I use? I know this is over my budget but E Bay has been good to me.

Wait what? Why would you buy an i7 2600K? The only reason I could see doing so is if you got a really good deal (like sub $100), but then you wouldn't be worrying about the budget. I'm beginning to sense a pattern here. You just like buying random CPUs on Ebay, don't you? ;)

Anyway, I need to know how much money you spent so far out of the $1000 in order to tell you how things should be adjusted.

haha yea I have a problem. I haven't bought anything yet. Basically that bumped my budget up to 1300. But judging by your response, it may not be worth it. I guess I'll just go with the 770 and the better case and leave well enough alone.

I'm a little unclear on your reply. Did you get the 2600K or not? I ask because you need a different motherboard for it, a Socket 1150 Haswell board will not work.
