My first p4 system...

... and my first Intel system since the ole' Celery 366 @ 550... I've been living in AMD's camp for a few years, until now... I just picked up:

1 Pentium 4 2.53GHz
1 Asus P4T-533
2 Samsung RIMM4200 256MB (512MB total)

Anyway, I'm after some good OC'ing and am wondering what most people w/ the 2.53's (and especially the i850 boards) are getting. I've done some searches and seen some people hitting 3GHz... that'd be nice if I can hit it. I will be cooling it w/ a Swiftech MCX-4000 plus some nice 80mm fan.

Anyway, any insight on what I should/can expect is appreciated.

Also, is there a better HSF combo than the Swiftech 4000 for the P4?

Search the net for P4 Overclocks, and try posting your question in the CPU/OC forum. Maybe better luck in there. Have fun. 🙂

yea I searched for P4 overclocks... not much luck (for my specific conditions anyway...). I also posted this topic at 11:30pm so I figured I wouldnt get much response...
