my first overclock (update)

well..this was my first OC.....idles at 31-32 and tops out at 42C on load
CPU-Z proof

a good 2646 mhz ...this is a CACJE opteron i just got in the mail..i am currently running a 2:3 divider..the memory is clocked at like 189 i believe..if anyone has some better ideas about how to push this OC forward let me know..its currently running at 1.425 voltage i believe ..i am aiming for stability and NOT killing the CPU...if that helps the type of advice i would get at all

Update..i pushed it to 2700 mhz...300x9 2:3 divider still..i have a question though..how close to 1000 does the hTT have to be? is 900 ok or should i try harder to get it at 1000

Update 2..now running 2799 311x9 ( 933 htt) 2:3 divider 1.45 vcore...memory at 199 mhz cas 2 -3-2-5 ..

update 3. having a hard time getting this prime stable @ current settings.....my temps are fine..but it gets an error pretty quickly in prime..i upped the voltage to 1.475 (that didnt help)..im not sure if i should push it a little higher..i dont want to go over 1.5..

update 4. tried 1.5 v and still no luck getting prime stable....still immediate errors..still idling between 31-33

update 5...tried 1.52v ...prime ran a bit longer before crashing this time..im guessing that ive reached the max for my chip..gonna have to back down to 2.7 ghz...i guess thats pretty good for a first time ocer..

You are right, don't go much past 1.5. Optys are great until the next 250mhz needs a .05 or more bump. Stay at 2750, if its stable, and be happy with 1.45. The LDT doesn't really affect performance, so 900 is fine. I wouldn't try 90, but don't worry. Good job for first time!

Htt doesn't matter too much just as long as you done have it really low then you're alright. What ram are you using?

i cant seem to get my cabne 0544 epmw up to 300. im running corsair value select ram @ 2:3 2.5-3-3-7 @ 1T on an epox 9npa+. the max htt of the board is well over 300 im still baffled. no matter how much voltage i throw at it like 1.55 (actual 1.52) it'll budge a little. I'm thinking maybe it's the divider.
