Pic!!

I am quite pleased with this cooler, and kudos to newegg for getting my parts within 2 days of ordering. My computer idles at 30c with my cpu oc'd to 3.5. A quick orthos test revealed that it wont get much higher than 50c. I haven't done a full stability test with memtest and orthos but it runs games just fine. That said, I can't get my system to boot much higher than that. It posts, but gets half way into xp and says "no mychild." Could anyone help me out with that? Is there something I am missing in the bios?

mobo: p5w dh deluxe 1901

cpu voltage: 1.325 (Might try to bump down a bit)

ram voltage: 2.25 (within spec) mushkin 8500 5-5-4-15 @ 3-3-3-8

vid card: 8800gtx oc @ 644/940

psu: corsair 620w

I couldn't be happier with the rig I put together with the help of some very nice anand members, so thanks to all who helped!

p.s. my wife says no thank you to the people who helped. she thinks i spend too much time on this computer. pfft, is there really a such thing as too much time on your fav comp?

well, to OC higher, you probably need to bump the vCore (CPU voltage) to 1.4v or 1.5v, as needed, incrementally increasing as you go.
Also, did you disable EIST, C1E, and Virtualization Technology? Those can cause instabilities. Also, your RAM may need to be loosened to CAS 4 so you will definitely want to run memtest soon.

Good clocks buddy! Just got my Ultra120 installed in my pc and have 2 instances of Orthos running and my X2 4800+(939 Toledo) oc'ed to 2.7Ghz and my temps won't go above 27c, a huge improvement over my XP-120. Dropped my multiplier to 10 and my bus speed up to 270 at stock 1.4v. Only thing that makes my CPU temp climb is 3DMark06 batch tests, gets up to 40c at 50% cpu load, weird. Next time the wife complains send her out to get her nails done lol.
EDIT: PC Wizard 2007 sucks for CPU temp, my CPU reads 52-55c with Core Temp 0.94 Beta w/2 instances of Orthos.

I can't even hit 3.2GHz without a vcore of 1.45, so I think that OC is very nice. I too use the Tuniq Tower but am unimpressed with how high I could overclock my E6600 on stock volts. I am wondering if I got a due E6600 or perhaps mounted the Tuniq Tower wrong. Mashed, how is your Tuniq mounted? Mine is mounted so that the fan is blowing towards the back of the case.

I too have my fan mounted blowing out the back. I had a hell of a time mounting that sucker too. When I placed the tower on the cpu, I was twisting it and turning it just trying to tighten the screws up. I figured I would have to redo the whole process because of all the movement, but when I fired the system up the temps were great! I was thinking of turning the fan around in the tower to blow in the middle of the case, but then put the fan on the outside blowing in. Then I would put an exhaust fan on the top. Iviustang, what mobo are you using?

the temp is pretty good. not much lower can go with air at 3.5ghz. make good air flow inside the case is the only thing you can consider to adjust

Mashed, you're gonna have to raise your vcore, not lower it. You're already more than 1 Ghz above stock speed.
