My girlfriend picked one up yesterday. She had the Vibrant and I told her to return it since this phone was coming out. T-Mobile actually gave her a loaner for the wait.
My first thoughts on picking up the phone was the appearance and build quality.
It's much improved. They have thinner chrome accents and the back of the phone is matted and textured.
It is also extremely light. One of the lightest phones I have ever picked up.
The AMOLED display is vibrant, but the color accuracy is way off. It also has an odd purple or gray color cast.
I didn't even try to talk her out of a Samsung product because I saw where she was coming from.
The G2 was bulky. I like it but I admit it isn't the thinnest.
The mytouch 4g is downright ugly. I'm all about function over form. But that thing looks cheap and it looks like it was thrown together by random spare parts.
I like HTC. but they need something better to offer Android folks on T-Mobile.
