if she was drunk, you did the right thing. However, nothing wrong w/ a little smoochy smoochy w/ a fan.

now the question that begs to be asked:
if you could replay that moment in time, would you react exactly as you did?

Nah - In hind sight, I should have offered her a ride to her home (and then gone home myself).
Like I said, I have no regrets about not hitting it. That situation just had trouble written all over it.

Yeah good call, taking home a drunken stranger for a night of debauchery is an easy way to either catch herpes (or worse), or get a rape charge filed against you.

Is there a lesson to be learned here? I mean, obviously you knew the reaction you would get here of all places. I'm trying to read between the lines here... maybe I shouldn't.

You did the mature thing.. but you did the wrong thing. Someone else prob just took her home, she was obviously in the need for some.
9/10 guys disapprove of your actions.

You must be a decent guy though, someone that those same 9/10 guys would want dating their sister.
Its a nice flipside.

So I gotta give you the post-1990s Man , yet the 1950s Man

Yea, I knew the reaction I would get here, but it's an interesting story so I posted it anyway.
I'm not particularly concerned about people's opinion of me on this matter - most of em probably haven't been out of their basement in weeks anyway. My ego is still intact.

FWIW, I don't think I'd be terribly averse to a one-night-stand kind of situation if she were sober and we at least talked awhile, got to know each other a bit. Lord knows, it's been awhile. But very drunk & accosting me at the door didn't do it for me. If that's all it takes for you guys, have at it.

You should have gotten the digits man. You never know when a female can come in handy. I'm not even joking - ie. wedding date, etc. :)
