It's always easy for me adjusting TO graveyard, it's just going back that kills me. I sleep in the mornings when I get home so I can spend the afternoons with my girlfriend, but to get back on day shift I usually have to have a drink or six before bed.

Six works for me 😀

N8Magic, I usually work late evening till about 1 or 2 in the AM because I'm not a morning person; but I could never do the graveyard shift on a regular 🙁 Good luck & all the best 🙂
Well, I used to work 4PM-12AM so I know what you mean.

It's 4AM now and i'm still going strong. 😀

I see you completely understand my post 🙂

Besides the shift change, how do you like it so far?

I just started back working midnights(00:00-08:00). We do 10 days on and 4 off which seems to work pretty good. In the past 5 years I probably have worked half of them on midnights. As far as sleeping goes, I am trying to hold out until 16:00 before trying to go to bed, although it isn't working out that way. Yesterday for example slept from 09:00 to 15:00, and then 21:30 to 22:30. It's just hard to get into a routine on this shift as there may be something you want to do during the day one day and then the next there is something you want to do on the evenings. If you have kids, it makes its harder also.

So far, I really like it.

It's far more technical, as the ATM equipment is still evolving at a rapid pace and there is a lot to keep up with. 🙂

Sounds like you found an ideal new step in your career N8Magic, especially the fact that you find that there's alot to keep up w/ and it's not just a "shift." 🙂

I do a 7:00pm to 3:30am, Thursday - Monday.

I don't get home until 4:30am, and I usually stay up until 8-9am. I get up just before I have to start work.

Got a trouble up in Montreal(sp?) and tried to refer it up to them. Called the maintence center up there and I guess they handle couple different locations, and we here in the states call some of the sites different names I guess than what they do, so I hope I gave them the right location. Was that a runon sentence? Anyways, I guess dayshift will find out if I got it to the right place.
