My first custom water cooling loop

I finally finished my first custom loop:

Specs:
Corsair 600T White Case
Asus Z97-A mobo
i7-4790k (not overclocked)
4 x 4gb DDR3 (Ripjaw and Gskil)
2 x 512gb M4 Crucial SSD
Asus GTX 780 DCUIIOC
Corsair AS700 PSU
Windows 8.1

Water loop parts:
Phobya Xtreme 200 Radiator
Koolance Radiator 240mm
NZXT FS-200RB Premium 200x30mm Fan
3 x NZXT FN-120RB 120mm Fan
EK 140 Res/pump combo block
Swiftech D5 Pump
3/8 x 1/2" Blue tubing
No name flow detector and temp gauge
Heatkiller 3.0 CPU Block


Ambient water temps are 25c
CPU Temp sits around 27c
Prime 95 small tests and the temps are around 67c (+/- 3c)
The system is super quiet

that plastic thing next to the pump is junk, you can tell in the rez if the water is flowing. There is a reason they stopped making plastic parts for water cooling..............

I only added the flow thing because I needed a spot to put the temp probe.
I wanted to use the spare on the pump block but it is blocked by the mount in the rear.

Can you flip the pump upside down?


Sorry guess I woke up on wrong side, I just don't trust plastic after the rez by EK for $25. I just had one let go on me, thank baby Jesus it wasn't in a loop. I had washed it out then set it on a table a few days latter it spider weeded on me, now they don't sell that size body no more ugh!

Its a nice set up!!! I love water, put in in front of an A/C unit watch yer temps fall.........
It's pumping to the CPU then the top 240 then to the 140 in front back to the pump? Do the bubblez stay in the Rez when off?

Its cool no biggie.

The floor vent is nearby, but not close enough to the case. The temps are just fine for me.

Pump --> CPU --> 240mm rad --> 200mm rad --> Pump
After researching online, as long as the flow is good there is no point in having the radiator before or after the cpu, due to thermal dynamics.
The Fluid has a high flow rate and is not allowing the warm/hot fluid to stay in the cpu block long enough to make any difference.
For my purposes this setup is just fine.

I play diablo3, youtube, pictures, etc, so I am not even pushing the system very hard at all. I even turned off the overclock as it was not needed.

You can get temperature probes that are built into G1/4 caps. That's what I used when I had a loop along with a silver agent that was built into a cap.

The G1/4 cap I have has the temp sensor built in and it goes to a LCD display on the top of the computer.

Ah, my bad. It sounded like you had to use the flow meter to insert the probe, but from what I could tell, the flow meter used a G1/4 threading to attach itself. So, I figured you stuck a standard wire probe in it.

Although, out of curiosity, are you planning on cooling the GPU?

I always thought those NZXT 200mm fans were a good pick for something like that. I won't ask; I'll just run the web-search myself to check out that Phobya Xtreme 200 radiator. I'd been looking at those last year. I want to see how thick it is. . .

On the fan, I thought I'd seen where it's best to mount those as you have done: in a vertical plane, such as the front intake of the case.

The radiator is very thick.
I wanted to mount the fan in the front of the case, but it is also thick and would not allow the cover to fit. I am trying to find a thinner 200mm fan to squeeze in he front for some push/pull action.

I love the fact that the setup is super quiet, even the wife commented that my office does not sound like jet engines running.

Looks like Anti Freeze, I use it. Only down side I have seen, it seems to degrade plastic over time.

It is not anti-freeze, it is Koolance UV Green Coolant (part glycol part water)

wowzers! I wouldn't use custom loop for such small build. One of those CLC would of been cleaner overall build.
