i just bought this new case: Black Anodized Aluminum Case

i can't wait till it arrives, and i just purchased a dremel at home depot, with tons of reinforced cutoff wheels.
i've never used it before or cut any metal/aluminum before...

does anyone know how cutting into the aluminum would be? is it softer than the regular case material?

i plan to cut out "fusion" on the side panel, and stick a blue neon or cathode light behind it.
i also want to replace the green power LED with blue LED...

i have a HDD cooler that fits onto a drive bay, wouldn't the cover on the case block the airflow?

i just hope i do it right the first time!

Take your time and think things out and then think them out again and you will do fine. Good luck let us know how all turns out. Sounds like a good idea.

that's a nice case...maybe you should try to find a junk side panel from an old case to "practice"...

Be very careful dremelling! I broke a bunch of cutoff wheels.. shattered into many pieces.
Wear safety glasses and never use the dremel with the wheel facing at you.

Take your time. Be patient. :D

I got the dremel wand extension and that helped. Also get the fiberglass reinforced cutting wheels. And definately wear safety glasses and a dust mask would not hurt. Also the metal gets quite hot when u cut it so be careful of that.
