Hey I am about to build a new computer and i would like some input on it. If i should change some parts..or maybe wait a bit for pcie or something else. Any input would be helpful. The max amount of money i can spend is around 2000g.
DVD: NEC 8X Black DVD+RW/-RW Drive, Model ND-2500A, OEM Bulk $68.99
Hard Drives:Western Digital 120GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive, Model WD1200JD, OEM Drive Only $96.00
Western Digital Raptor 36.7GB 10,000RPM SATA Hard Drive, Model WD360GD, OEM Drive Only $111.50
Memory:Corsair XMS Extreme Memory Speed Series, (Twin Pack) 184 Pin 1GB(512MBx2) DDR PC-3200 - Retail $254.00
Monitor: PHILIPS 201B4074 21" CRT Monitor -RETAIL $349.00
AMD Socket 939 Athlon 64 3500+, 2.2 GHz, 512KB L2 Cache 64-bit Processor - Retail
$499.00
OS: Microsoft Windows XP Professional with Service Pack SP1a - OEM - $135.00
Video Card: ATI RADEON X800 PRO Video Card, 256MB GDDR3, 256-bit, DVI/TV-Out, 8X AGP -RETAIL $461.00
Mother Board: ASUS "A8V Deluxe Wi-Fi" K8T800 Pro Chipset Motherboard for AMD Socket 939 CPU -RETAIL ($171.00 )
Now i picked a 939 socket motherboard. Do you think i should go with that or should i just stick with that 754. I really dont upgrade a lot. At the moment i have a 1.4 gzh computer. I usually buy a kick ass computer and then just stick with it for a long time. Is that a good system or is upgrading slowly the best?
Right now its a bit over 2grand...mostly becuase of the monitor which i really dont need..lol but it would be nice.
