my firewire card wont work

hey guys, I have this cheapo actiontec firewire card, and on the day I got my Ipod in the mail, I installed the card and everything worked fine, and I transfered some songs onto the ipod, but the next day, the firewire card wouldn't start up and it has the yellow exclaimation mark next to it in system devices. I tried reinstalling the drivers, swapping pci slots, taking out other pci devices, but to no avail. My mobo is an Abit KT7 and I'm running win2k. Anybody have any ideas on how to fix this?

Sorry, can't help you. I do know however that some of the el cheapo cards just don't seem to be very compatible.

i have the same card. it worked fine in my abit kg7 board, but when i upgraded to an asus k7n266 it would no longer work. it kept getting the same driver issue you are currently having. im pretty sure it is either incompatible, a driver update or maybe a format might do the trick. well anyway, im interested to know the answer also.
