My fire alarm (a circular pad on my ceiling) is beeping every 30 seconds. Does this mean there it is detecting a very slow fire?

It means you've been caught doing illegal stuff in your house and its a warning to stop.

That's what I was thinking too, but I was too ashamed to ask ATOT for fear they might ridicule me. There are some people here who actually enjoy making fun of others; can you believe that?

WHAT fire alarm? Oh, you mean the SMOKE DETECTOR? Hell, change the battery...Suposed to do that with every daylight savings time change...OR, if your area doesn't do DST, then April and October 1st, or the first day off spring & fall, OR the first day of summer and winter, or...get the point? EVERY 6 months.

When the microwave does that it means you are supposed to open it up and eat whatever is in there. So you should open up the smoke alarm and eat the copper burrito.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!

Wow....

I used to listen to Loveline on the radio (with Adam Carolla and Dr. Drew). It was pretty funny when one of their callers had a low battery in a smoke detector, because usually the callers didn't even hear the beep (even though it is ungodly loud and obnoxious).

It blows my mind.
