what get out of here? So what do I use 8.1? lol could that be my problem?

You can use 9 but it won't make a difference the hardware doesn't support it. It's not a problem yet mabe when doom comes out it might be a problem then.

Did you just buy the card? or did you transfer it from your last rig?

Still a great card just no 9x, I went from a Ti4400 to a 9700tx and I feel it has less "horsepower" but when you crank up the AA/AF what a difference and IQ is better(it's a subtle difference but it's there).

Ok I am dumb what is the AA/Af? and IQ? How can I pump mine up lol? 😛

Are you joking?

Anisotropic filtering, Anti AniliXXXX can't spell either one: The easy answer is the smoth out the jaggies.

IQ is image quality

Right click on your desktop, go to settings, advanced then there are different tabs there find the AA and AF you can crank these up 2x, 4X etc.

Start slowly then see how the game looks, on NVidia card the FPS (frames per second) are greatly affected by turning these up, but its well worth it.

Try it and let me know what you think.

Tom

it's an okay system.

It's a lot of potensials.

heh I am a bit of a VW nut ... plus the PC name is Dub so.

I tried the AA/AF out (cranked both up) and I got a real bad bench mark, I mean real bad (3500). Should I try something else like AGP voltage or boost the FSB up? I am at 133 right now I know the board and the chip can do more then that.

lol the AA/AF are not for benchmarks (run those without).

Grab a game you like and crank-up the AA/AF on those, not the benchmarks. See the difference before and after you crank those 2 up, your fps will go down but it will look a lot better.

Don't mess with the fps or voltage.

Tom

Very nice job. Like the VW sticker, adds a lot of class. You'll like that NEC monitor. I have one and it's great. Have to set it back some because it's so big. Nice rig. Enjoy, and I hope you have a bonus day. (don't get too stuck on those benchmarks, just enjoy a nice rig)

Very nice system. I notcied you called it a "her" . What would you call this female?

I call everything a "her" that I own. My car is a female, my paintball gun is a female, my snowboard is female, my pc is female. Just a habit I guess

why?

hehe ok man. thanks for the help I have just accepted the fact that I can get it to benchmark the way I thought it would.

hehe, nice rig. trust me its very easy to get addicted to benchmarking, and when you do theres no going back! I'm on a bout 15.5K 3d marks and must make it go higher, can doctors prescribe summat for this?

my dad has a VW so nice job on that one!
