I smashed that motherfucker in my car door trying to save my Galaxy Nexus from falling to the ground and smashing into a billion pieces. The nail is perfectly intact, and there is no pressure or pain at all. Feels like a normal nail.

This is the result. How long until the black disappears? Will the black spread further?

Probably NSFW image. -Admin DrPizza

Old thread revived by Ichinisan for no good reason.

Fuck you too buddy!

I don't think it works like that. If you want the black to go away, you'll need to get lightening treatments.

Give it a week or two; You have bruised underneath the nail and it needs to heal.

More important; how is the phone?

Troll thread, finger is always black.

If you want to drain the blood from under the nail, take a sewing needle, heat it up with a lighter, then "gently" poke a hole in the nail with the needle.

Do not go too deep, or you will hit the flesh under the nail.

The tiny hole will allow the blood to come out, thus reveling the pressure and the pain.

You have to drill the hole in the nail before the brood dries. If you wait to long the blood will not drain.

Galaxy Nexus? That ain't worth saving. On the other hand, if it was an iPhone...

Done that a few times. Lost a fingernail when I was about 8yo after slamming it in a sliding door (took about a week after the trapped blood appeared before it fell off).

Why would anyone care to get the blood out early? It moves when the nail grows.

Anyway, anyone experiencing this for the first time this far into adulthood has led a pretty sheltered life.

Scratch free thankfully. I caught it fine, even with the intense amount of pain, I didn't dare let it go...looool

I thought about this, but there is no pressure at all anymore. I don't think I really damaged it that badly. All I ended up doing was washing it under hot water then soaked it in rubbing alcohol.

It probably won't get much more black. I've done similar. It will stay black and just grow out as your nail does.

That looks painful. I've had similar little marks when I miss the nail and instead hit my thumb with the hammer. not fun. Congrats on saving your phone.
