yeah eventually I will upgrade to 4GB of ram and a bigger monitor, plus I will get a sound card when the drivers for them exist for vista

The XMS ram is good ram!!
You miust remember alot of people here go for whats the absolute best of the cheapest that will get me by...
You cannot go wrong using the XMS ram!

Looks good, one suggestion though, why don't you go with one GTX now instead of the GTS's in SLI and use the money towards an E6600. You really shouldn't come across many games that need more than one GTX for the resolutions that monitor supports. Then when you do purchase the larger monitor add another GTX. Nice rig either way, just a suggestion.

well what ram would be better than XMS, I want to get buffalo firestiks but currently the 2GB package is out of stock at newegg

DDR-333 compaired to DDR2-1066... Got a link to those benchmarks?

I agree with this set up. One GTX is plenty of power and you could then upgrade to an E6600 with the extra moeny. Not many people really need SLI. The XMS series of Corsair RAM is excellent and I would also keep the two HD's......Nice rig.

You wouldn't see a huge difference in real world usage, to be honest. The patriot I linked to you is great stuff and not nearly as overpriced as the Corsair.
