Translation:
He played the original World of Warcraft (nicknamed: vanilla WoW), before Burning Crusades (the expansion) came out, and he ended up being bored by the game. Then last night, he started playing again on a character he does not normally use (alt = alternative character), who happens to have a lot of gold currency, to transfer to his main character. People generally have two to three other "toons" they use with different professions in the game to make as much money as possible, to send to their main character to buy the main character the best gear.
With this amount of money, he will buy his "mount", which is an animal to ride, thus increasing your speed to go from place to place. V3.2 is version 3.2, also known as a "patch". You can probably guess what a patch is, and sometimes prices drop when patches come out to fix new bugs. He's going to buy the mount anyway, despite knowing if he waited just a little longer, he'll buy it for a lower price.
Does that make sense now?
