Still praying hard here...

Thank God for the good news, so far!!

I hope he comes thru okay, Iron Woode. My husband and I went thru something similar with his 76 year old father earlier this year. Make the most of every moment you have now, you'll never regret it.

Well 2nd surgery should be underway / done by now... fingers crossed.
Yes, and he is doing ok so far.

He won't be out of ICU for another week, the doctors told me.

The only problem now is keeping his blood pressure stable as he fights the infection in his blood.

I am now quite optimistic of a full recovery.

My wife works in an ICU here, and it sounds like things are looking up for your father🙂

I have some more updates:

so far so good.

Tonight I will be visiting him.

He is still in ICU, but should have a private room next week.

Thanks for all the prayers. Keep'em coming.

🙂

Flesh Eating Disease? U mean Necrotizing Facittis? Other conditions non-withstanding, ur dad is EXTREMELY lucky that he had u. I dunno how much the docs told u about it, but its a strep-throat bacteria that gets into the tissue. I won't discuss the symptoms/effects.

In any case he didn't get it, so Good luck. Sounds like this blood infection is one of the last hurdles. If he's as stubborn as u say, he should make a full recovery regardless of age, and hopefully he will have learned his lesson about being too stubborn. I'm praying to every god I can think of. Once again, good luck.

It didn't get that far, thank god.

Yes, I know what it is. My sister is an RN and my mother was an RN and I was a biology major. That was our greatest fear.

I feel strange because I may haver saved my father's life.
