So my son just called and says that he got an estimate to fix the damage on his car that he got while pulling through the Wendy's drive thru. Apparently a poll jumped out and scraped the side of his car and Wendy's says it happens all the time.

No wonder my wife did not tell me about this. She hit a poll at the ATM. I fixed it myself for about $250 for the bumper skin and $100 to have it painted. A week later, guess what, she hit the same dang poll. At least the bumper is just scratched and not pushed in like last time.

But damn it, pay attention folks!!!

I am not paying to fix his car. As a matter of fact, I am signing over the title to him and he can go get his own insurance..

Damn surveys, they'll get you every time. Atleast it wasn't a pole. Those can really screw a car up.

My dad was getting out of his truck once wit hthe engine running: He was going to pay someone, and he put it in reverse instead of park. As soon as he took his foot off the brake and stepped out of the truck, it began rolling backwards with the door open, and the door hit a big wooden post. The whole door got kinda compressed by about 1/2" and wouldn't close anymore.

My mom hit the carport on the side of her own house.

A friend of mine has a 1996 green Saturn wagon.

All the body panels on the car are made of plastic. He nailed a pole pretty badly in a parking lot. The left side of the vehicle was pushed in and looked bad, and had all this orange paint from the pole. He hit the panels a few times and the plastic popped back into the correct shape, then he wiped off the paint with a rag, and it looked as if he had never hit anything. I was impressed.

But I still prefer metal.

I'm glad I'm a good driver - I've never hit anything before.

Was at a jack in the box drive through ordering when I hear an engine rev in the background. Thinking its just some immature college kid (davis = college town), I ignore it. Seconds later, a car flys through the parking lot, narrowly missing my rear bumper and rams into the jack in the box menu thingy.

There was silence, then I was given my order. I just kinda looked at the guy a bit and he backed up and drove away (likely college kid who couldn't drive stick and engaged clutch while engine was revin, while parked). As I slowly drove to the window, all the employees were sticking their head out the window to see what happened.

Only things I come that close to hitting are stupid things... like cops standing in the middle of the road with no reflective gear on autumn nights....

<<< lucky to not be in jail for the vehicular manslaughter of a police officer right now
