the other day I changed my AIM profile, i added in a little message for my girlfriend ( i used to hate when people did that, and said i'd never be one of them.. )

so anyway, it wasn't much.. just something like "i love you Bethany, i cant wait to spend the rest of my life with you"...

so my aunt saw my profile, and took it to mean that i was engaged- she called my grandmother, to tell her i was getting married. My grandmother calls my mom. My grandma, thinking my mom knows about the alleged engagment.. asks why she hadnt been told. She thought my mom had left her out becuase she thinks my mom doesnt like her. My mom says "what?? Dan is getting married?"

so i just got off the phone with my mom. first thing she asks is "so.. planning on waiting until the rehersal dinner to tell me you're getting married?"

*sigh*

Yeah, my g/f and I are in love and we want to get married, but i'm only 21, she's 20 , so i think we're gonna wait a while. So now i gotta try and explain all this to my mom.

yeah i love it.

i wish my family didnt have my s/n.. but i've had this one for 8 years now, and i dont want to change it. And everybody knows it. I guess i just gotta live with and watch what i put on my profile. I've gotten caught cussing on it before too.

its funny how all the gossip involves me though.. Cant they find something better to talk about than my personal life? Isnt there something good on tv they can go watch.

I think my family has finally come to accept that I usually tell them things after the fact, and that no amount of prying, nosing around, or casual roundabout questioning will drag it out of me. hahaha.

Like if I called them up and said "So I've been seeing this girl for a while now.." I think they'd probably do the same, assume that we were engaged. hahaha.
