My family all got sore throats the other day - GERM ATTACK?

Mine got so bad it woke me up last night. I got up brushed my teeth, again, and this time the toungue too, gurgled with listerine to kill the germs and then used some vicks. It helped alot.

It is very sad these days, that up until 2 weeks ago, never in the foggiest reaches of my mind would I have thought this suspicious. That for one split second I would think - germ attack.


edit: fort worth, texas. my condition has improved - mom has full cold now. dad doing ok too. just the seasonal 'fall' thing i guess.
 
I think sore throat is generally because of viral infection, then using chloroseptic won't do any good. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
 
NO NEED TO WORRY, everyone here had it 2 weeks ago and everyone is ok. It seems to be a fall bacteria going around. You will develop a cold and heavy cough that lasts about a week and then you should be ok. If possible take cough medication to avoid the coughing phase which is the worst part.

I didnt want to be alarmist ! I just wanted to point out the sadness of the sitution. But im still suspicious.....

I dont know how much it is out there around here anymore but that week supposedly a lot of people had it. Its not nothing to worry about but it didnt have the greatest timing.
 
He's only messing around, in the event of something like that you will hear about mass fatalities. Plus here 3/6 people who got sick and had the worst case barely left the house at all before and the other 3 who had a less severe case were in and out of the house before and after everyday
 
I haven't had a cold for years, and I got one this week. I think mine is just from worrying about this and that and weakening my immune system that way. Of course bio weapons runs through your mind, but there's no reason to worry about it because you can't do anything about it, and worrying just makes you sick.

Its just a cold/flu going around same as any other thing. Its just like case of the flu you would have gotten 6months - 1yr ago nothing special about it just bad timing and Im right around Chicago
