Just did something with this drive that I thought wasn't ever possible...

I decided to do a CD to CD copy on Diablo 2 with DiskDupe. The DVD Drive and CDRW was on the same secondary IDE channel :)...and w/Burn Proof enabled, I burned perfect copies at 12X!!!! :D The buffer level would sometime drop to 16% but the burning would stop for a fraction of a sec so the buffer can move up to 80% or higher...

Man, I can't wait to install my 12/10/32.

I had the 8/4/32 previously, it's a great burner--love Plextor.

ProntoSpyder: Do you mean you play DVD movie and doing cd-copying at the SAME time?

MAMAFUFU:

No, what I meant was that I burned the data disc (in the DVD Drive) onto the CDR which is in the Plextor burner.

But with this drive, I can probably watch a DVD movie while burning. :)

Same here, i was burning a cd for a friend this morning, and he wanted to see the Diablo 2 movies... So I started the burn process, played the movie, but it didn't even get to through the first act and the cd was done :).
