My exhaust was fixed today..does it sound ok?

The camera I have might be distorting sound a bit -- I'm not sure if the intake is that loud..but then again, I'm rarely outside my car when it's revving.
You can hear the exhaust go near redline (5500-6000rpm)..does it sound alright? 2.25" catback, resonator & straight-through muffler..

The muffler used to rattle..the shop said something was inside it, and it was replaced under warranty. I gave them the extra 30 bucks to put a resonator in -- it doesn't have much buzzing anymore..5000+ rpm used to sound pretty bad..I'm happy with it now, though.

Hopefully it doesn't sound too much like a fart can..

Of course, this is coming from someone that knows nothing about cars.

Actually, it doesn't have:

1) High pitched buzzing sound
2) Flatulent somewhat-similar-to-a-harley-but-not-quite sound..
3) Huge tip.

what car is it ?

if you tell me it's a corolla or something and you pulled up next to me and started revving I'd burst into a huge laugh.

ahahahaha...it is a Corolla. Be careful of some, though - there's one running 13s in South FL..probably give you a run for your money.

..but I wouldn't be pulling up and revving at you. It's not *quite* as slow as it looks, though - I'm car 63; car 30 is a V6 Mustang

Why not? It's better than buying a wanna-be sports car like a Mustang V6..at least mine handles pretty good..

Not bad for a corolla. Haha yea the wanna be sports car mustang V6. Those are slow as hell.

good job spankin it.

I used to drive one awhile back. 91 Corolla DX with like 190k miles on it. It was beatup but I really liked the car. No complaints about it.

That appears to be from the same strip that someone on ebay was selling 12 second timeslips!

Sounds like a 4 cylinder to me. My old escort gt sounds better with factory exhaust.

Of course that's my opinion.

A friend of mine has an Escort GT...1994. It sounds like absolute crap. He also beats it to death, and it sounds like it's going to lose the muffler pretty soon..so maybe that's why.

It's pretty common for the header pipe to crack where it is welded and this could be the problem with your friends car. Mine sounds nice, not to tinny or loud.

The first one sounds like my Jeep. 5.2L. With flowmaster 40 it sounds so nice. I do this every time i rev it ->
