Why is she talking birth control pills if she's not at risk for getting preggers?

I know some girls take them to help clear up their skin

O......k......
What's so hard to understand about that? Birth control pills are scientifically proven to get rid of pimples, etc.

Need proof?

There's the worst idea of all time. She'll be getting pregnant almost for sure if she's off the pill for that long.

Actually I believe that was a recommendation if you missed 3+ pills in a month. I'm sure it's still a viable option.

She doesn't have to worry about pregnancy so that's not a concern

Seriously. With BC, it's safe to have sex ANYTIME (you may want to use a condom depending on your paranoia level). When she's on her placebo pills, she'll likely be menstruating so unless you like a little Red Scare in your sex life, I don't think you'd want to have sex that week anyway.

by the way, you can skip the placebo pills... my doctor has said that it's fine for one month, but it's not something one should get in the habit of.

wow i cant believe how stupid this thread is. typical MAME thread, though.

my girlfriend took BC for a year, but its because she lost too much iron every time she had her period. she started fainting and stuff randomly throughout the day.

of course you can skip placebo pills. They are made of sugar I believe and don't serve any purpose except to keep the taker on a regular schedule and serve as a marker for time.

You never have to take them.

From what my ex-gf told me a long while back BC pills can actually be healthy. Not to mention, she can randomly hook up with a friend now if she wants :)

i disagree with the term 'healthy'. like any drug, you're messing with your normal chemistry, which i wouldn't call 'healthy'. the benefits may outweigh the consequences, but that's the key word, consequences. it's no surprise that hormone drugs are being linked with cancer. if this stuff works for you (or your woman), great. but it's foolish to believe this stuff isn't having negative effects on you or your body. transexual men take estrogen to grow tits.

Read the thread. SHE'S NOT HAVING SEX.

I did read the thread, she's taking the pill with the anticipation that she might have sex.

The pill needs time to build up in your system to actually be effective. As my sister-in law found out, The retard. She stopped taking the pill b/c she was on penecillan and the dr told her it would make the pill inefective, so instead of staying on the pill to keep the hormone levels up and just using condoms she decided to stop taking the pill. She ended up w/ two periods in three weeks, then started taking the pill again. She figured since she was back on the pill she didn't need to use condoms anymore.... Thus I now have a nephew, which is great. :)

is "preggers" the cool way to say it now? it can't possibly be to save keystrokes or syllables over "pregnant"

You're right. A girl not having sex for 2 months is absolutely unheard of. She must have had sex with half of Japan by now

The pill makes their periods regular, and usually not as bad.

she's his "ex", and how would he know for sure she isn't sexually active?
he wouldn't.
