Yep, that's right... the drivers seemed to install correctly, yet paintshop pro, and the other paint programs are clueless to it's existence. They don't 'see' the TWAIN drivers! Tried reinstalling several times, and always got the same result.

Edit - If I try hitting the auto scan button, an error message pops up saying - "The application associated with this event could not be launched. Do you still want to stop launching this application for this event?"

I'd appreciate any help very much!!!

The scanner tests says that it's working fine, when it's obviously not! This is quite wierd...

Did you try this...

Turn scanner on...

START>SETTINGS>CONTROL PANEL...

Double click "Scanners and Cameras" right click on the EPSON scanner icon and choose PROPERTIES then under the EVENTS tab, make sure that the program you want to activate is listed and checked!

--Forgot to mention---

You should at least see the Kodak IMAGING there.

What version scanner do you have?
What version drivers are you using?
What other USB devices are you running?
How many mA of power does the scanner use? (found in the USB Root Hub)

I seem to remember having similar problems at some point. I have a perfection 1200U. I think the solution I used was to make sure I installed things in the proper order listed in the instructions. For example, if it tells you to turn on the scanner, boot into windows then plug in the USB cable, don't turn it on, plug it in and boot. I also think you will need to uninstall the drivers and reinstall from scratch.

I tried all of that :( Reinstalled the drivers correctly several times... no programs are showing up as compatible in the scanner properties!
