Every two years or so I end up going to the doctor to cleanse the ears. One time this big core of wax came out of my ear - they used a large syringe to force water in there. It was gross but one of those things you look at and are in awe.

Ditto... It sucked too... It just goes to show, it pays to let warm water run into your ear in the shower to help flush that crap out before it starts to really build up.

I've had this problem before, its pretty easy to resolve. Just find an item that can squirt water with force into a small area. Typically a stringe like object with a small plastic tip is what my doctors have used, but I have found one of those blue balls that you use to remove snot from a kid's nose works awesome. I know some people who have used thsoe water-picks that you can clean your teeth with.

Regardless of the instrument, use warm water and give it multiple blasts (letting your ear drain in between) should work wonders.

EDIT: Found the official name, the baby snot remover is an Aspirator. They also have things called Ear Syringes, dunno if its any better or costs more tho.

Buy an ear candle. Follow the instructions properly, and your ear canal will be clog free in no time.

If anyone starts bashing ear candles as quackery, don't listen to them. My wife and I have used them many times, and they WORK.

I've had this problem most of my life🙁, and have had doctors clean out my ears many times. But I have gotten to where I can do it myself, and I have to do it about every six months to a year

1. Use something to soften the wax first. They sell drops for this, or I've found Hydrogen peroxide works just as well

2. Once the wax is softened up, blast your ear out with warm water. Use a syringe or the blue ball thing that comes in the ear wax cleaning kit.

It sometimes takes several times. Put drops in, wait 5 minutes then blast with water, put more drops, blast again. Repeat until it breaks loose.

Its a major PITA, and sometimes takes me 20-30minutes, but man does it feel good when it opens up🙂

Assuming the problem isn't wax, try taking echinacea, St. John's Wort, and vitamin C for a few days. Worked like a charm for me last time.

Yes, we know, and physicians are all lying in some conspiracy to prevent the great ear candle from taking over ENT practices.

Sorry, but I'll have to trust actual research over the enthusiastic reportings of those enjoying the benefits of the placebo effect.

the stuff that come out of your ears is nasty as hell.
