Bite the bullet and leave it to a professional. More than likely, water has mixed with your ear wax and created a nasty blockage. A doctor will soften it with drops and blast it out with warm water. This happened to me on my honeymoon and I was totally out of sorts for about 5 hours....almost deaf in that ear, slightly disoriented, mild discomfort, etc. Having the doctor come in and clean me out was a religious experience.
It's probably wax.
If you have only tried rising with hydrogen peroxide once, then it's probably not enough, it might take a week or more to soften it up enopugh, especially if you have a large lump.
I have BOTH my ears partly blocked, 2 lumps of wax in that couldn't be syringed out (spent 4 days with hydrogen peroxide, then went to doctors).
Might be up to another week before they manage to get softened and come out
I'm using almond oil at the moment (as recommended), syringed into my ear.
Might try heating it up next time rather than using it cold though (room temp)

I was told the same, and to just gently let the water run into my ear in the shower, and that should clean the wax out just fine. I never use q-tips anymore.

Man I know what you're saying, I had a nasty cold one time and as a result exta build up of ear wax, I felt deaf in both ears and could only kind of hear out of my right ear and almost nothing at all in my left, made me feel dizzy even.
I went to the doctor and he used a mix of peroxide and warm water and blasted it into my ear, my God it was one of the most wonderful feelings in my life when he finished I felt like a new man!
The syringe technique works beautifully. I have my girlfriend do it for me, since it's kinda hard to bend over into a sink and let it drain out. Once that warm/hot water gets in there, and the sucker pops out, you feel like a million bucks.
Oh and btw, that pic is nasty, but I see why you'd save a pic of it.
Tried that. The ear syringe I just got came with some peroxide ear drops.
I guess I'll try flushing it with hydrogen peroxide a few more times as was suggested.
Not sure how Docs handle it here, but when I was a nurse at the Military we had special drops that would soften, then wash out with warm water. Might check in the pharmacy, but You might as well see a doc. One of thouse things you shouldn't mess with if you are not sure what is going on.
Still trying the ear drops, but nothing comes out when i rinse it with water. I guess I'll call the doctor this afternoon if it isn't better.

Try taking some sudafed. Sometimes congestion of the eustachian tubes can cause that kind of mild deafness. Do you ever hear crackling in that ear when you yawn or swallow? If so, it's probably not wax. I've been dealing with this off and on for the past six months.
do you have a sore throat? I find my ear muffles when I'm coming down with strep throat.

Q-tips are the devil. I stopped using them altogether. Instead while I'm taking a shower I aim a stream of the water in each ear several times to clean out the gunk. Works beautifully, and if you aim it right feels damn good as well.
