My E6300 @ 1.86 to 2.53Ghz OC, need advice

I got really bored and i might be getting a e6750 here to upgrade, so i started to mess with my motherboard, its an ecs motherboard with an e6300. i never noticed i can raise my fsb on it so i did, to 1450 fsb. normally i would do auto on 1333. well here is a picture of everything please tell me how i am doing!

Those E6300's OC ridiculously well. I got mine up to 3GHz without a hitch. I think I was still being limited by my mobo's FSB.

70C+ seems kinda high... My little brother still has an overclocked E6300 @ 2.8GHz (1600FSB), and I don't think it even breaks 60C with the stock cooler.

I had a E6320 myself, and while I could hit 3GHz easily (no overvolting required), I was also under the impression my 650i mobo held my cpu's max overclock back. That made me wish I spent the extra few bucks for the E6420.

The E7200 in my sig, runs a max of 57 with a Cooler Master Hyper 212. 🙂

Possibly, but most likely it'd need somewhat of a voltage bump, but not by much.

Mobo is probably the limiting factor. When I first got the E6300 with an MSI 975x mobo, I actually was only able to OC it to 2.4GHz. Then when I got a new PSU, just a modest corsair 400W, I was able to get it to run at 2.53GHz stable. The mobo crapped out on me one day, and I got the much newer Foxxcon BlackOps that's known to be a good OCer. It hit 3GHz without a hitch.

I later sold the E6300 and got a Q9550. I was only able to OC the Q9550 to around the same FSB as what I set the E6300 @ 3GHz, so that leads me to believe that the E6300 still had a way to go at 3GHz.
