My E2160 won't o/c at all!

So I got my new system today. Hooked it up and it's running just fine. But ONLY at stock vcore and frequency.

I try bumping the FSB to 201x9 and I get no post. Even if I bump the vcore to 1.35, 1.375, and 1.4. No post. I've tried 201x9, 210x9, 220x9, 233x9, all with many different voltages up to 1.45 and all with no post.

Am I missing some trivial setting that is holding me back?

Specs:
Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L
Intel E2160 CPU
2gb Patriot ddr800 memory (4-4-4-12 timing)
ATI Radeon x1950pro 512mb
160gb IDE HDD
IDE DVD-ROM

Oh and the PSU is a Rosewill 550w.

Any ideas?

This is basic information to get you started.

Use 1:1 for RAM, on your motherboard I think there is a setting labled 2.0, and use Auto for memory timing, which will keep your RAM from being an issue.

If that does not work, you will need to get a better power supply, Rosewill is a low quality power supply. Successful overclocking requires quality power to the motherboard.

You can download a program called SpeedFan, this will help you to track temperatures.

I'd jump into the Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L thread on the MB forum. I suspect it's something in the BIOS not set correctly. That hardware should rock, including the PSU.

Very quickly - hit CTRL+F1 in bios to see more memory settings
for now you should try 333 X 9 with PCIE at 100 (change from auto) take off all the thermal monitoring CIA or whatever it is called, change memory speeds from auto to 2.40, standard, say vcore at 1.35 and memory at +.02 or +.03 if you get errors
and set memory manually the first 4 to 4 4 4 12

Just thought I'd chime in here. Got my system the other day and had the same problem. Here's the system
e2160 CPU, stock fan/heatsink
Abit IP35-E motherboard
2 gigs A-Data DDR2 RAM
Earthwatts 500 Power Supply
EVGA 8800GT

I jumped straight into the overclocking after everything seemed like it was working, but it refused to do anything at all if I made any changes to the bus speed, exactly like the OP. I came here to see what I could find out, read this thread, then changed the RAM setting to 1:1 like Swing848 said and that fixed everything.

It's currently running completely stable at 3.0 and after over an hour of Prime95 stress testing, it hasn't broken 55 degress Celsius according to CoreTemp. The overclock took my 3DMark06 scores from around 8800 all the way up to 10,900. I'm a very happy camper now, for sure.

Basic setup and overclocking guide found near the bottom of my 1st post @ ABIT IP35-E REVIEW @ MB forum.
