my E: drive has gone missing !!???

I have a drive that the bios sees, but windows xp "disk management" doesnt seem to even see it. it was working in this PC until today.

It DOES show up in "device manager", but not shown in disk mamager. Odd.

what am i missing?

I rebooted a few times - same prpblem. Then I unplugged drive, replugged, booted, and it worked.

Odd.
