my drink tastes like marijuana!

So I was having a late night snack of leftover filet of salmon together with an impromptu made-up mixed drink, and the drink tasted exactly like marijuana... or like that smoky resiny flavor in your mouth....

the drink was Jose Cuervo Especial Tequila mixed with Stop 'n Shop Zazz Cranberry Lime seltzer.

I actually find the raw plant to be tasty. It has almost a mint taste to my mouth. I'm always shocked when people tell me they don't like the smell - it's sweet to my senses.
