yea its pretty nice so far, wont have any time to play until next weekend as im out of town for work this week.

I ordered some of these to use between the speakers and subs, and a set for between the subs and floor, but that may change to something else (spikes/wodden feet). Ill cover them with some grill cloth if i feel the cork being visiable is annoying. Seeing the batting through th eports only really annoys me in pictures as its not nearly that noticable without the flash

You don't have to wet sand, just use a painters tack cloth very thoroughly. Great build. Makes me want one of these subwoofers, not sure I could handle how much power they use though. Looks like 1 of your subs uses more than my whole setup(PC, Receiver, Sub, 2 screens)

each sub is getting ~700 watts. and i was not planning on wet sanding, was planning on just using some lite 320 between coats and cleaning it up with the vacuum and cloth

Hmm when looking at the entertainment center, I get the feeling that it would look even more awesome with some black in there... perhaps on the front? Maybe it's just because it's the first coat. Did you make that all yourself or was it a kit?

Yeah, at 700 watts your nearly double what my whole set up uses watching video's at high volume(300-400)

i thought about painting the inside black, at least the L/R insides and undersides of the shelves but decided not to because i hate being the careful when painting. also it will look pretty damn dark when its all said and done anyway

I do think i will staple some dbl thick grill cloth across part of the opening in the back just to block the wall from showing through - the front and outside will most likely get another stain coat, the inside looks pretty good now that its started to dry

not a kit, i designed it in sketchup and a contractor friend of mine cut and put it together for me

it looks good so far. as a contractor myself I'd say it looks better than alot of work you see in the field.

thanks man, should be moving it upstairs on Sunday morning

the top inner shelf needs another coat (annoying getting a brush in there) but thats about it, i don't think the outside needs another coat

i also picked up the MDF and PVC for the rear stands today. hopefully i can start those this weekend as well, except it freezing and i have to cut stuff outside
