All right, so a couple of years ago I was more or less trapped in the decision of whether to build my own computer or to just have Dell do it for me. Well, however much I regret it now, I had Dell do it for me, but anyway, I'm having an issue right now that needs some help. Like a lot of you guys out there, I like to play First Person Shooters. Though I enjoy my games, lately, I haven't been able to enjoy them nearly as much due to low frames per second that ruin it for me. I like to play Counter Strike Source, Team Fortress Two and Left 4 Dead, but I can't get out of them what I want. Although my system came stock with a 7900GS video card, about a year ago I replaced that with an 8800GTS 512 G92 from BFG that's still pretty cool. But, here's where the problem starts... Until a month ago, I have been running that BFG 8800GTS off of my system stock 375 Watt Dell PSU, which I have heard mixed reviews about. I've heard that the 375 watter can run the 8800 well, and that it can't. Lately I've been trying to trouble shoot my low frames, and drew the conclusion that I needed a new power supply, so I went to newegg and ordered a Corsair 750 TX psu. I know that it's not BTX like the computer is, but it still works since all the connections are the same. Still, I get the same low frames problem... When I say low fps I get like 50-60 if I'm lucky with no aa,af and every setting on low in CS:S, a game that is like 3-4 years old on a computer that's about 2-3 years old... Ridiculous... I even reinstalled windows, updated my drivers tried fps configs to boost my fps but nothing is working. Please help me out, I'm about at my last straw with this, and any input will be greatly appreciated... Here are my system specs
