you're not gonna get one free without warranty, I dont even know if the limited one covers the AC adapter even. In other words, you're screwed. Good luck :p

Just find someone with a Dell. A good portion of them use the same electrical specs I believe.

The only ones that use the same ones as mine are the 8000 and older, not even the 8500 shares mine and I don't know anyone with a 9200 or 9300.

Are you completely completely out of power? If not, quickly transfer all files to somebody else's computer, or upload it to a Gmail account using Gmail drive. Then print whatever you need from a friend's/school's computer.

If you're completely outta power, you should've transferred the files before using up all your battery. You could try swapping hard drives with a friend's laptop . . .

I would have done all of the above save the fact it's 3:00AM and all of my friends have exams and they would axe murder me if I woke them up.

I just bought a A/C adapter off of Ebay hopefully it'll arrive in two days.

If you're really hard up they sell (or you can make) adapters that let you put a laptop sized drive into a normal IDE slot.. just put it as a slave in a desktop and transfer the files that way.

See my core problem isn't necessarily just my notes.

A) I have no computer to read my notes on, the library computers are being used totally and completely.

B) I have no where to print the notes

Even if I did discover someplace where I could do either of those, they won't open until morning and my exam is at 11.

I know I shouldn't have waited until the lasst moment and I guess this is just karma.

You can sometimes find universal adaptors at bestbuy/circuitcity/compusa if one's around, although for a Dell they might not work.

I would recommend you head down to frys and buy an external hd drive adapter for a 2.5 hd and then plug in it a school pc and print your stuff

You know, back when I was in college EVERY kid in class practically BEGGED their parents to buy them a laptop for college.

The biggest reason they used: I need it to take notes in class.

Me personally? I used a pencil and paper. I can't help but smile a little.

damn..your screwed...
Then again I feel for you except my labby was completely destroyed due to a power surge but it wasnt near testing time. Plus i save my files into a school program called "backpack" that allows me to view them from any computer with internet.

You can get a Universal Adapter from Best Buy for about $150. If you can't afford it, buy it, use it, and return it. Yeah, it's not the most honest thing, but this is your future we are talking about. You can deal with getting a replacment after your exams.

You could also get a 2.5" External Enclosure and hook it up to a desktop computer via USB. Thats what I did when my Dell went fubar (bad power charger happened to me also among other things, I Will NEVER buy a Dell Laptop again).
