Nothing but the finest for me

I went out of my way to eat at one on my east coast journey and all I could taste was ketchup. Sad.

"White Castle burgers aren't grilled, they're steamed. They stack a pile of onions on the grill, then put 30 patties (exactly the number in a Crave Case!) on top. The steam travels through the onions and cooks the burgers, while the holes in the burgers let the steam get inside and through the patties. This ensures an even cooking surface across the patties and eliminates the need to flip the burgers (remember, they are being steamed). It also means they need to spend less time on the grill -- and they can get out faster."

😱

I've never been to a White Castle and rarely eat fast food. What so special about their menu? 😵

Well, they have the Harold and Kumar movie going for them, so that's a plus. The small size of the burgers makes them kid friendly, too. The frozen ones aren't half bad, either.

I've never actually been to a WC or tried any of their food, but I don't find anything particularly revolting about this method. What I don't like is looking at their burgers and the fact that they appear to be ~92% refined, processed "bread matter" bun and 8% brown-grey "meat"

Steamed minced beef sounds pretty nasty.

my great grandma thought white castle was the BEST.

but in fact, it was garbage.

these look a little better than the stuff we usually got though.

I love white castle. That said, there isn't one super close to home or close to the office, so, when we go, very rarely, it's a treat. One of the few restaurant chains that has grape pop on tap. I don't usually drink pop, but, I'll take Root Bear @ Culvers or A&W as top pick and Grape Pop at White Castle as a second best choice.
