My Day Off, Why Isn't Black Hawk Down Playing Anywhere?

Why? It's only playing in 2 theatres in the NYC area and I'm not close to either of them. This sux!! I guess I'll have to go watch Hairy Potty this afternoon instead.

it's only a limited release. i think it comes out everywhere jan 18.

maybe they rushed its release so they could get it out by the end of the year, and it could be eligible for awards? i don't know how those awards shows work, though, maybe i'm wrong

i was under the impression that the movie got pushed back because of sept 11th. I remember seing trailers for it in late august, early september same as colateral damage

The movie was put into limited release to make it eligible for the Academy Awards. Primary opening is January 18th.

did anyone see the commercial for blackhawk down with the dmb song "the space between" playing?

i've only heard that song once or twice but it seemed that the lyrics on the commercial fit the movie a bit too well (if i understood them correctly). did DMB change the lyrics for this movie?

I took the day off because I have to take my wife to the shrink so I'm in Jersey now. I've only got a few hours so I can't make it into the city. I rarely get any PT so this kind of sucks because I was looking forward to this movie.

Oh well, I went to see LOTR again since I couldn't catch HP. It really is much easier to watch and enjoy the second time around because you miss so much the first time.
