I am sitting at my computer and she is sitting at the other computer. She has been playing at playhousedisney.com for 20 minutes now. She is going thru each of the activities. I think I may get her a smaller mouse so her hand fits around it better. She is only 3. 🙂

They sell keyboards and mice in a shrunkdown size for kids. Keys are smaller and not so far apart so their fingers won't have to stretch as much. That's awesome guy that she is at it at 3

You could get her a imac mouse, they are small and she wont complain because she doesnt know any better 😉

OK. I guess I need to find me a small mouse. It's just so damn cute when she says "daddy can we go to playhousedisney dot com?". 🙂

Star them off early! A friend of mine has a 4 year old son and 6 year old daughter. The daughter already surfs the net a bit and the son can as well. Also he can't read but he goes through video game menus and figures them out (even complex ones). Pretty cool!

Try BestBuy or some place like that. I know I saw those lil' mice there while I was xmas shopping. Ugh!!!--the nightmares of xmas shopping on xmas eve.

My 2 year old son loves going to www.shrek.com and looking at all the pictures and playing the games they have. Once I load the starting page, he takes over and navigates the whole site by himself. That and nickjr.com are his favorites... He has his own E-machine with a 15inch LCD display... 🙂 With a Buzz Lightyear mousepad of course...

Be careful! My 5 year old daughter is an N'Sync fan now from playing on Barbie.com :Q But seriously, it's the cutest thing watching them have fun and learn on the computer 🙂 my kids are ok with the regular mouse, but I did see a small one at Amazing Savings(local in Chicago?) for like 10.00 that I might pick up for them.

Watch out, they may go to *cough umm... sites not for little children.
Such a incident with a cousin of mine, he is like 9 or 10. and i walked into the computer room at his house and I see him looking @ pr0n. I was going to kick that sorry @$$ because my little sister (8 years old) was in there to.

I just told his parents what he was doing. hmm... wonder what happened.

ya rub it in my face why don't ya!

I have a son who is 14, and the highlight of my day is when he stands outside points up at the sky and says "airpane!"

I'm only 16, I don't have kids... 😉

and i walked into the computer room at his house and I see him looking @ pr0n

Woops. I wonder where he got the idea to do that? :Q

Hey, don't make her go through the rights of geekness passage that you had to go through. J/K That's great that she already has the motor control and plain intelligence to navigate a site.

haha thats cool. Reminds me of the time my boss told me he brought his computer down to his sisters house, and his 5 year old niece loaded up Tiberian Sun and proceeded his high scores for the first 5 levels. :Q

I know exactly what ya mean, my 5 y.o. stepson loves to play those nickjr. games and even Need For Speed. I actually beleive he has learned more about reading and concentration here on the puter with
me than he did all year in pre-school.

I also got him something for Christmas that he is amazed with...it's called Tonka Dig'n Rigs. It mounts on top of the keyboard, has a steerinng wheel and levers so he can operate a crane, bulldozier, end loader
and stuff on the screen. He really digs takin the wrecking ball and knockin down buildings.

I beleive it's good for them if ya stay with them and mix it with other activities. Really sharpens their minds.

Thanks,
Jeff

My dad wouldn't even let me neaaar his computer when I was little 🙁 (I'm 17 now). Even when i was like 10, couldn't even touch it! But he would leave town for like 6 months a time and my mom would let me on and play games 🙂 Then they got divorced, my mom got a comp, and I became.... ::comes out of phone booth with cape and taped up glasses:: COOOMMMPUUTER GEEEEK! hehe 😉 it's all good.
